Pohang, a Lifelong Learning City Responsible for the 100-Year Era, Renovates 'Baetmeori Lifelong Learning Center'
Reflecting Senior Users' Requests, Senior Center Environment Maintenance
On the 22nd, Pohang City Lifelong Learning Center completed the improvement project of the gym facilities within the Baetmeori Lifelong Learning Center Senior Hall.
Mayor Lee Gang-deok visited the newly renovated Health Center for Seniors inside the Batmeori Lifelong Learning Center, toured the facilities, and had a conversation with the elderly.
View original imageThis facility improvement project was carried out to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Pohang City Lifelong Learning Center, reflecting the requests of seniors who regularly use the gym. The project included replacing floor mats in the Senior Hall gym, repairing the shower room, adding interior fixtures, and purchasing new exercise equipment.
On the day, Mayor Lee Kang-deok visited the newly renovated Baetmeori Lifelong Learning Center, toured the upgraded Senior Hall gym facilities, and had conversations with the seniors.
The operating hours of the Senior Hall gym within Baetmeori Lifelong Learning Center are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and it is free for all Pohang citizens aged 60 and above.
Additionally, through the regular course “Senior Health Club” for beginner senior exercisers, seniors are educated on exercise postures and how to use the equipment, supporting their safe use of the facilities.
