New projects such as support for children's speech therapy will also be promoted.
Meanwhile, since the foundation’s establishment, a total of 4.784 billion KRW in donations has been collected, of which 758 million KRW was raised in 2022.
Last year, through the Happiness Welfare Fund projects, 636 million KRW was provided to 8,388 vulnerable people for housing environment and convenience facility repairs, medical expense support for cancer patients, hearing aid support for the hearing impaired (not registered as disabled), and distribution of donated goods.
Wando-gun Happiness Welfare Foundation is continuously accepting donations (monetary and goods) such as regular sponsorships to eliminate welfare blind spots for vulnerable groups.
A foundation official said, “We will develop various projects for marginalized groups in welfare blind spots to create a warm Wando that works together, and strive to enable the foundation to serve as a welfare control tower.”
