Kim Juae, Digging Continuously with Stamps, Attends Together with North Korea's Kim Jong-un

This Is the 7th Time Appearing at an Official Event

Kim Ju-ae, daughter of North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un, appeared again at an official event.

According to the Korean Central News Agency on the 26th, Chairman Kim attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new street in the Sopo District of Pyongyang the previous day, where he shovelled the first soil and gave a speech. Kim Ju-ae also attended. This marks the seventh time Kim Ju-ae has appeared at an official event.

The event was part of a project to build 4,100 housing units north of Pyongyang, separate from the ongoing project to construct 10,000 housing units in the Hwaseong District of Pyongyang.

Chairman Kim said, “We have entrusted the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade with the entire important construction project to build about 4,000 households in the northern gateway area of the capital Pyongyang, forming a distinctive street as a whole,” adding, “This project is not just a construction project but a political struggle that reflects the character of our revolution.”

He also claimed, “Shortly after the Party’s appeal, more than 100,000 youths from all youth league organizations nationwide volunteered for the capital construction,” portraying the workers as providing voluntary labor.

Kim Jong-un and Kim Ju-ae jointly shovelled the first soil and pressed the detonation button at the groundbreaking ceremony, and the flag of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade was awarded to commanding members, the news agency reported.

Kim Ju-ae also appeared on stamps issued on the 17th of last month. Among eight types produced based on photos of Chairman Kim’s on-site inspection during the launch of North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Hwasong-17 on November 18, five featured Kim Ju-ae. Some interpret this as the beginning of idolization efforts.
