Prosecution Shares Investigation Information with U.S. FBI
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office Voice Phishing Government Joint Investigation Team plans to cooperate with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by sharing investigative information and techniques to prevent voice phishing crimes.
According to the prosecution on the 24th, the Eastern District Prosecutors' Office Joint Investigation Team (led by Kim Ho-sam) discussed sharing investigative information and techniques with the FBI, as well as cooperation measures such as tracking money laundering and extradition of criminals.
The Joint Investigation Team shared related know-how and countermeasures with the FBI, and the FBI introduced cases of virtual kidnapping mainly occurring in the U.S. and response measures, emphasizing the necessity of investigative cooperation.
