Pantos to Transport Relief Supplies to Turkey for Free
On the 24th, LX Pantos announced that it has provided the Embassy of T?rkiye in Korea with a maritime transport voucher worth $200,000 (approximately 261 million KRW) to assist in the recovery efforts following the T?rkiye earthquake. This support will help reduce the burden of transporting relief supplies from Korea to T?rkiye.
The company is the logistics partner dedicated to the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the government agency responsible for overseas official development assistance. When disasters occur abroad, it maintains a constant international logistics response system for emergency disaster relief support at the government level. Immediately after the recent earthquake, relief supplies were transported by air.
After the T?rkiye earthquake, about 100 tons of donated goods arrived daily from all over the country. However, the company reported that only 15 tons could be handled by air transport, reaching the limit of relief supply processing capacity. The Embassy of T?rkiye requested assistance with maritime transport, and the company decided to provide support free of charge.
