This program was conducted while supplying the extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter 'URO-EMX' to Eswatini. Professor Nayonggil from Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital, Professor Kim Sunyoung, Emeritus Professor at Chungnam National University, and PMCI showcased lithotripsy through local medical institutions, providing procedures, user training, and initial A/S response education for patients who have difficulty accessing medical benefits.
Through this program, Huons Meditech introduced its representative devices including 'URO-EX', 'URO-EMX', 'MT-2000', and 'IMPO 88'. The ‘URO-EX’ is a device that delivers shock waves generated by a cylindrical coil or electrode method into the body to break stones in the urinary tract and kidneys. The ‘URO-EMX’ is a magnetic-type extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter that delivers shock waves generated by an electron tube into the body.
Professor Na said, "It is meaningful that Huons Meditech’s lithotripsy can provide rapid treatment to stone patients in Africa," adding, "I hope this activity will be a great support to Eswatini, a medical desert."
