"Free Shipping Even for One Book" Gmarket Launches 'Book Smile Delivery' Promotion
If You Order Books Before 6 PM, They Arrive the Next Day
Gmarket announced on the 24th that it will launch the ‘Book Smile Delivery’ promotion, offering fast and free shipping services. Orders placed by 6 PM will be delivered the next day, and shipping is free even for a single book order.
This event is a regular promotion held simultaneously by Gmarket and Auction, recommending books across various themes and categories such as ▲genre-specific novels ▲new releases ▲drama and movie originals ▲popular comics ▲economics and business ▲literature ▲humanities ▲self-development ▲infant and children’s books ▲toy books ▲travel, and more. The promotion can be accessed by searching for ‘Chaek Smile Delivery’ on Gmarket and Auction or by clicking the ‘Order Today, Arrive Tomorrow Smile Delivery’ banner at the top of the book category.
The number of Smile Delivery book orders increased by 29% last year compared to the previous year, and transaction volume grew by 36%. In particular, orders for reference books surged more than fourfold (389%), and this popularity continued with a 170% increase in reference book orders as of the 22nd of this year compared to the previous year. This is interpreted as growing interest in educational books ahead of the new school term.
