Nongshim Partners with Fire Agency to Promote Fire Prevention for 'Shin Ramyun'
Nongshim is partnering with the Fire Agency through its Shin Ramyun brand to conduct a campaign aimed at improving awareness and supporting the installation of fire alarms. This campaign is the second one following the initiative in 2021. A total of 10,000 fire alarms will be distributed to underprivileged households and social welfare facilities nationwide.
The Fire Agency has set a goal to increase the installation rate of residential fire alarms to over 80% by 2025 and is promoting the ‘Fire Alarm 2580 Project.’ Nongshim is supporting these efforts by running the ‘Safe World Campaign That Rings Out’ to actively raise public awareness about the importance of fire alarms as well as providing fire alarms that practically help prevent fires.

First, the campaign is raising awareness about the importance of fire alarms through radio campaigns and bus audio advertisements. The bus ads play whenever buses pass bus stops in Seoul with names that include ‘Fire Station.’ Nongshim also collaborated with Korea’s first firefighter webtoon ‘1 Second’ to produce an online video highlighting how fire alarms helped prevent major damage, which has attracted attention online. Additionally, events such as a mini-game on the website and including campaign messages on Shin Ramyun packaging are being held to increase public interest.
