Busan Gijang-gun Begins On-site Registration for Gijang-type Disaster Basic Income
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Gijang-gun will begin on-site registration for the '3rd Gijang-type Disaster Basic Income' starting from the 22nd.
Earlier, Gijang-gun decided to provide the '3rd Gijang-type Disaster Basic Income' to overcome the economic difficulties of residents caused by the prolonged COVID-19 disaster situation and the heating cost crisis, and to revitalize the local economy. Online registration officially began on the 15th.
Gijang-gun announced that 122,611 people, accounting for 68.9% of the entire Gijang population, applied through online registration, and among them, 102,225 people (83.4%) were promptly paid a total of 30 million KRW per person, amounting to 30.6 billion KRW, to their registered accounts.
To accommodate those who find online applications difficult, the county will officially start on-site registration at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers from the 22nd.
The application method requires one representative per household to visit the administrative welfare center of their residence and apply. Each person will receive 300,000 KRW in cash paid to the household account. When applying in person, applicants must submit the application form, identification such as resident registration card, driver's license, or passport, and a copy of their bankbook.
Like online applications, the on-site application will follow a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the head of household's birth year until March 8. From March 9, the 5-day rotation system will be lifted, allowing applications on all days.
The last digit of the head of household's birth year corresponds to the following days: ▲‘1, 6’ Monday, ▲‘2, 7’ Tuesday, ▲‘3, 8’ Wednesday, ▲‘4, 9’ Thursday, ▲‘5, 0’ Friday. On weekends, anyone can apply online regardless of the 5-day rotation system.
