KIC Donates 50 Million KRW for Earthquake Relief in Turkey and Syria
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), a global investment institution, will donate funds to support the people of Turkey and Syria suffering from the major earthquake.
KIC announced on the 22nd that it has decided to donate 50 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
The donated funds will be delivered locally and used for rebuilding the earthquake-affected areas and providing emergency relief to the victims.
President Jin Seungho said, "We hope this will help the victims who lost their homes due to the sudden strong earthquake to return to their daily lives even a little," and added, "KIC plans to actively support disaster relief activities in the future as well."

Meanwhile, KIC has been carrying out various social contribution activities for neighbors suffering from disasters both domestically and abroad, such as delivering emergency relief funds during last year's wildfires and floods in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions, and sponsoring overseas medical volunteer services by the Open Medical Society.
