"Please Recommend People Who Have Shined in Nam-gu, Gwangju"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it is recruiting 'Nam-gu Citizen Award candidates' given to residents who have served for the development of the local community until March 10.
The recruitment fields are ▲Social Service ▲Filial Piety ▲Culture, Arts, and Sports ▲Community Development ▲Education, totaling five categories.
One person will be selected per category, and if there are no qualified candidates, no selection will be made.
Any resident who has lived in Nam-gu for more than three years and meets the requirements for each category can register as a candidate, and those who have received awards for the same achievements are not eligible as candidates.
The Social Service category is for those who have devoted themselves to helping neighbors through volunteer work and good deeds or contributed to creating a better society. The Filial Piety category is for those who serve as role models through respect for elders and exemplary filial piety, or who represent ethics, courtesy, and morality.
The Culture, Arts, and Sports category is for those who have contributed to improving residents' lives through the inheritance and development of traditional culture, advancement of arts, and promotion of sports, or who have enhanced the honor of the region and national prestige.
The Community Development category is for those who have contributed to building an advanced Nam-gu and developing local industries or creating a pleasant and healthy urban environment. The Education category is for those who have contributed to the development of the cultural education special zone and nurturing local talents.
To become an award candidate, a recommendation letter from heads of various institutions and social organizations or a recommendation letter signed by more than 30 local residents is required.
Winners in each category will be selected through the 'Nam-gu Citizen Award Screening Committee,' and the award ceremony is scheduled to be held on April 20 at the '28th Anniversary of Nam-gu Citizens' Day Commemoration Ceremony.'
