Incheon City Supports Cancer Patients with Wig Purchase Costs... Up to 700,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City announced on the 20th that it will support 90% of the cost of purchasing wigs, up to a maximum of 700,000 KRW, for cancer patients experiencing hair loss as a side effect of cancer treatment.
The purpose is to reduce the mental distress caused by hair loss during chemotherapy, thereby boosting self-esteem and the will to continue treatment.
Eligible applicants must be among those receiving medical expense support for cancer patients at public health centers, have a doctor's note stating that severe hair loss due to chemotherapy side effects necessitates a wig, and must have been registered residents of Incheon City for at least one year as of the application date, actually residing there.
Applications can be submitted at any time until December 8, and applicants must submit a doctor's note along with the wig purchase receipt and application form to the health center of their respective district or county.
