Ghanaian Footballer Ats Missing in Gangjin Found Dead
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Christian Atsu (31), a former Ghana national football team forward who went missing in the T?rkiye earthquake, was found dead.
According to AFP on the 18th (local time), Atsu's manager Murat Uzunmehmet told local DHA news agency, "The body was recovered from the collapsed building site in southern T?rkiye, and his mobile phone was also found."
The rescue authorities explained that the location where Atsu was found was the luxury apartment complex 'Renaissance Residence' in Antakya, Hatay Province, where Atsu resided.
Atsu was well known among domestic football fans as a player who mainly played in major European leagues before transferring to the Turkish professional football club Hatayspor last year.
