K-Disaster Safety Management, Shared with Students Worldwide
National Civil Defense Disaster Safety Training Center Conducts Training for Foreigners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The National Civil Defense Disaster Safety Training Institute announced on the 17th that it will conduct the 'International (Global) Disaster Safety Management Course' for foreign students residing in Korea in collaboration with the Korea Development Institute (KDI).
The institute explained the background, stating that as interest in Korean-style disaster safety management is increasing among various countries and the number of foreigners wishing to participate in the education is growing, it has promoted collaboration with domestic universities to both showcase the excellence of disaster safety management and provide opportunities for direct participation such as safety experiences.
The foreign students targeted for this education, who are enrolled in the master's program at the KDI Graduate School of International Policy Studies, are mostly government officials affiliated with key ministries in their respective countries.
The institute plans to continuously operate the education program in collaboration with domestic universities to disseminate Korean-style disaster safety management to foreign students and create opportunities for mutual exchange.
