Jugeonhyeop Donates 161 Million KRW in Relief Funds for Turkey Earthquake Victims
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The Korea Housing Builders Association (KHBA) visited the Community Chest of Korea on the afternoon of the 16th to deliver a donation of 161 million KRW to Hwang In-sik, Secretary General, to aid in earthquake damage recovery and relief for the victims suffering from the recent strong earthquake in Turkey.

This relief fund was jointly raised by 13 city and provincial chapters, including the KHBA Central Association (100 million KRW), Seoul Chapter (20 million KRW), Gwangju and Jeonnam Chapter (10 million KRW), Gyeonggi Chapter (10 million KRW), Ulsan and Gyeongnam Chapter (5 million KRW), Busan Chapter (3 million KRW), Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam Chapter (3 million KRW), Daegu Chapter (2 million KRW), Incheon Chapter (2 million KRW), Gyeongbuk Chapter (2 million KRW), Gangwon Chapter (1 million KRW), Chungbuk Chapter (1 million KRW), Jeonbuk Chapter (1 million KRW), and Jeju Chapter (1 million KRW).
Chairman Jung Won-ju of the association expressed, “We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the people of Turkey who are enduring great suffering. We hope this donation will help support the victims and contribute, even if just a little, to the prompt recovery of the affected areas.”

Meanwhile, the KHBA is actively leading various social contribution activities. Every year, it carries out projects to improve housing conditions for national merit recipients, supports fire extinguishers for fire-vulnerable groups, participates in volunteer activities such as sharing briquettes of love, volunteering at social welfare facilities, and helping descendants of independence activists, actively practicing sharing with marginalized groups.
