Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Holds 'Orientation for New 1st Grade Parents'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education is holding an orientation event to address the questions of parents whose children have entered elementary school.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 15th that it will operate the "Grade 1 New Parent OT" from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on the 17th and 18th.
On the 17th, the event will be held in person at the auditorium of the Seoul Eastern Education Support Office, and on the 18th, it will be conducted as a real-time online lecture via ZOOM, consisting of two sessions.
The first session will explain aspects of school life, school meals, childcare, and after-school programs for first-grade elementary students that new parents are likely to be curious about. An active teacher who has long served as a first-grade homeroom teacher will lead the lecture.
The second session will provide proper awareness and educational solutions regarding school violence that may occur in first-grade classrooms. A current senior elementary school teacher will explain conflict situations that can arise among friends and the role of parents in resolving these issues.
