Repaying a 12-Year-Old Favor... HanmiGlobal Donates Relief Funds to Turkey

In 2011, HanmiGlobal was performing construction project management (PM) services for a housing and urban infrastructure construction project for 10,000 households commissioned by the Libyan government in Benghazi, Libya's second-largest city.
However, that year, the Libyan civil war broke out, and armed militants invaded the site camp, looting and damaging property, forcing workers to evacuate urgently. The local airport was closed, and land routes were too risky, putting the workers literally at the brink of life and death.
At that time, information came that a Turkish warship had entered Benghazi to evacuate its nationals, and HanmiGlobal requested assistance through the Turkish Embassy. Consequently, the Turkish warship helped 24 on-site workers escape safely to neighboring countries.
Vice Chairman Han said, "T?rkiye is a brother country that participated in the Korean War and a grateful nation that helped our company during the Libyan civil war," adding, "I hope this can contribute even a little to the prompt recovery of the affected areas."
