LS Group Supports Turkey with $300,000 for Disaster Recovery
Affiliates Unite to Donate Cash and In-Kind Contributions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] LS Group announced on the 13th that it will donate a total of $300,000 in cash and in-kind contributions to help recover from the earthquake damage in Turkey.
LS Group's major affiliates, including ▲LS Cable & System ▲LS Electric ▲LS MnM ▲LS Mtron ▲E1 ▲Yesco Holdings, participated to raise $200,000 in relief funds, which were donated to the Community Chest of Korea (Fruit of Love).
The remaining $100,000 will be used to support necessary supplies on site. LS Electric, which established a local corporation last November, will be responsible for in-kind support through the Embassy of Turkey in Korea.
An LS Group official said, "The sudden major earthquake caused significant damage to the people of Turkey. International attention and support are urgently needed," adding, "We hope the people of Turkey can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

LS Group has consistently continued donation activities during overseas disaster situations such as the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China, the 2010 Haiti and Chile earthquakes, the 2011 Great East Japan earthquake, and the 2015 Nepal earthquake.
