From Chief Digital Officer to Chief Global Officer
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Kim Dong-won, the second son of Kim Seung-yeon, Chairman of Hanwha Group, has been promoted to president and will take on the role of Chief Global Officer (CGO) after about nine years with the company.
According to industry sources on the 13th, Hanwha Life Insurance changed its organizational structure from five divisions and eight headquarters to three divisions and thirteen headquarters, promoting Vice President Kim Dong-won, who had served as Chief Digital Officer (CDO), to president. Along with this, the newly appointed President Kim will also take on the newly established CGO role.
President Kim is credited with improving sales procedures through the development of Orange Tree (an insurance agency sales support platform) and 설계봇 (Seolgabot), and has been instrumental in advancing Hanwha Life Financial Service, the top-ranked general agency (GA) in the insurance agency industry.
