This training was conducted through a Q&A session on precautions when treating pregnant women and newborns and how to respond to emergencies, in preparation for emergency situations that may occur to mothers during hospital transport. It was efficiently carried out using a mannequin that allows practice of childbirth scenarios.
Park Gwangchan, Chief of Seogwipo Fire Station, said, "There was a case of emergency childbirth inside an ambulance at Seogwipo Fire Station last month, and we will strive to provide safe 119 emergency medical services in Seogwipo City by offering professional training opportunities to paramedics."
