Internet Post Office Sells Gold Bar Featuring Hangul Stamp Design
Online Only Starting from the 13th
Gold bars boasting rare originality worldwide, designed in the shape of Korean Hangul stamps, are being sold.
The Korea Post under the Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 9th that it will release two types of gold bars shaped like Hangul stamps and start selling them from the 13th.
The stamp-shaped gold bars are made using the design of the 1,000 won Hangul stamp issued in 2021, highlighting the unique characteristics and originality of the post office. The prices of the gold bars are set at approximately 879,990 KRW for 10g (as of the 6th) and approximately 1,649,980 KRW for 18.75g.
To commemorate the launch of the Hangul stamp-shaped gold bars, the first 1,000 customers will receive a Hangul stamp of the same shape as the gold bar as a gift. They can only be purchased through the Internet Post Office, and the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, the only certified quality assurance institution in the domestic gold market, guarantees their authenticity.
The gold bars feature a differentiated design with delicate expression of the stamp image and a clean surface pressing technique. A quality assurance hallmark and an ‘embossed latent image technique,’ which changes patterns depending on the viewing angle, are engraved on the back, making forgery and alteration impossible.
