Sacheon-si, Sharing Campaign ... Closing with Love Temperature at 234 Degrees
Target Amount Exceeded by 234%: 720 Million Won Raised
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, raised over 720 million won in donations, exceeding the initial target by 234%, through the 'Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign' held from December 1 last year to January 31 this year.
This amount is approximately 430 million won more than the original target of about 299 million won. As a result, Sacheon's Love Thermometer recorded 234 degrees this year, achieving the highest fundraising amount in history. In 2022, about 624 million won was raised, and in 2021, about 668 million won was collected.
This outcome is a valuable achievement made possible by the voluntary donation culture of companies and citizens who prioritized neighbors in need despite difficult economic conditions such as COVID-19, high oil prices, high inflation, and high interest rates.
The funds raised this time will be used as resources for various welfare projects for neighbors in welfare blind spots through the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.
