Student Team White Bird from Dong-Eui Science University Wins Grand Prize at ‘Seed up in Busan’
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The White Bird team from Dong-Eui Institute of Technology won the grand prize at the ‘Seed up in Busan’ program, a shared collaboration project among five specialized colleges in the Busan area, held on the 18th.
The team included students Bae Han-seung, Jang Sae-yan, and Moon Seong-woo from the Department of Chemical Engineering.
‘Seed up in Busan’ is a startup lifecycle business project that selects high-potential capstone design items from Busan specialized colleges and supports rapid commercialization through a regionally tailored commercialization support project.
This project proceeded in the following order: ▲Orientation ▲Project tool education and practice ▲Customized education for lean startup brand development ▲Capstone item consulting ▲Capstone item practical application ▲Capstone item launch show.
The LINC 3.0 project group at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology participated with the White Bird team, which submitted the work ‘Phonics Vapor Ink Pen,’ a drawing tool for toddlers, and won the grand prize.
The Phonics Vapor Ink Pen is a tool designed for children that uses ink which self-erases without the need for an eraser on any type of paper, making it easy to use.
The grand prize team receives a prize money of 1.5 million KRW, and as special benefits, support for crowdfunding and a shared office usage voucher are provided.
