The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 7th at midnight that 16,120 new COVID-19 cases were added, bringing the total to 30,279,381.
The number of new cases on this day increased by 10,270 compared to the previous day (5,850), which reflected the weekend decrease. Compared to a week ago on the 31st of last month (19,617), it decreased by 3,497. Among the new cases, 29 were imported from overseas.

The number of critically ill patients hospitalized was 293, an increase of 4 from the previous day, but it remained in the 200s for the second consecutive day. There were 10 additional new COVID-19 deaths. The cumulative death toll reached 33,624, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
