Shinan Fishing Boat Capsizes, Navy Ship and Special Forces Deployed Additionaly
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the second day of the fishing boat capsizing accident that occurred in the western sea of Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, the Navy deployed additional ships, aircraft, and rescue personnel on the 5th to search for the missing persons.
Three ships including Jeonbukham, Kim Chang-hakham, and Jeon Byeong-ikham, one maritime patrol aircraft, and five Navy maritime rescue team members were additionally deployed to the accident area.
In the afternoon, the Coast Guard and military are conducting search operations to rescue the remaining nine people. A total of 26 Coast Guard ships, 5 Navy ships, 3 government vessels, 2 civilian vessels, 5 Coast Guard aircraft, 4 military aircraft, and 30 SSU maritime rescue team members were deployed.

There were 12 people on board the fishing boat 'Cheongboho' near Daebichi Island, Imja-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. Three people were rescued immediately after the accident by a nearby merchant ship, and the search is ongoing for the remaining nine.
