Large-scale Rally in Downtown Seoul Tomorrow... Police Expect Traffic Congestion
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 3rd that traffic congestion is expected as rallies and marches will be held in various parts of Seoul on Saturday, the 4th.
According to the police, event stages will be set up in the morning on Sejong-daero (from City Hall Station to Sungnyemun) and Hangang-daero (Samgakji Intersection) in the downtown area the next day, and rallies with many participants are scheduled to take place from the afternoon. The police will operate reversible lanes in the affected sections. The bus-only lane on Hangang-daero will temporarily allow general vehicle access. Additionally, to minimize inconvenience to citizens, 43 guide signboards will be installed around the areas where rallies and marches occur, and 274 traffic police officers will be deployed.
