Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Holds Performance Sharing Meeting for High School Vocational Education Hub Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Gyeongnam Information University held the ‘2022 Higher Vocational Education Hub District (HiVE) Project Performance Sharing Meeting’ on the afternoon of the 2nd at the Westin Chosun Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
The event was attended by Kim Dae-sik, President of Gyeongnam Information University; Jo Byung-gil, Mayor of Sasang-gu; Lee Young-hwal, Executive Vice President of Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Yoon Sook-hee, Chairperson of Sasang District Council; Lee Jung-rim, President of Sasang Enterprise Development Council; as well as business representatives and practitioners from companies such as Founder, BJ, and Creative 9, totaling about 70 participants.

Kim Dae-sik, President of Gyeongnam Information University, said, “Today’s performance sharing meeting is considered the first step toward achieving the goal of mutual growth between universities and local communities pursued by the HiVE project,” adding, “We will lead the cultivation of local talent and higher vocational education together with Sasang-gu through the HiVE project.”
Jo Byung-gil, Mayor of Sasang-gu, said, “The role of local universities is important for the progressive future of Sasang-gu,” and added, “We will work harder to support the mutual development of Gyeongnam Information University and Sasang-gu.”

The Higher Vocational Education Hub District (HiVE) project is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Education to establish a virtuous cycle system from admission to education, employment, and continuous settlement through cooperation and linkage between junior colleges and basic local governments.
