Professor Park Dong-cheol Receives Plaque of Appreciation at European Kendo Championship
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Kendo team of Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) was specially invited to the European National Kendo Competition held in Budapest, Hungary, from the 25th to the 31st of last month. During the 7-day event, they conducted friendly exchange matches and joint practice sessions, spreading the excellence of Korean Kendo throughout Europe.

According to Mokpo National University on the 1st, the competition was held with the participation of about 80 male and female representatives from 11 countries, including Hungary, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden.
The Hungarian Kendo Federation, which hosted the competition, awarded a plaque of appreciation filled with the hearts of European Kendo practitioners to Professor Park Dong-cheol, the advisor of the Mokpo National University Kendo team and Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Arts, and Physical Education, in recognition of his contributions to spreading and teaching Korean Kendo in Europe since 2015.
