[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] On the 1st at around 06:50, Kim Seong-ho, Director of the Disaster Safety Management Headquarters at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, issued an emergency order to mobilize all available equipment and personnel to fully suppress the fire of unknown cause that occurred at a textile industry factory in Igok-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu.
He also stated, “The related agencies such as the Fire Agency, Daegu City, and Dalseo District Office have confirmed that all workers inside the factory have evacuated, but please exercise caution in searching and rescuing any persons who may not have evacuated yet, and do your best to prevent any safety accidents among firefighters during the fire suppression process.” Additionally, he urged, “Please ensure thorough measures to prevent secondary damage to nearby factories and residents.”
