Lee Suk-kyung Appointed as New Executive Director of Seoul Women’s Film Festival
The Seoul International Women's Film Festival announced on the 27th that director Lee Sook-kyung has been appointed as the 25th festival's new executive committee chairperson.
Director Lee Sook-kyung worked as a publishing planner, broadcast host, and women's studies lecturer before enrolling in the 23rd class of the Korean Academy of Film Arts, majoring in film directing, in 2006. She received the NETPAC Award at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival for her feature film Some Day (2008), and directed films such as A Day with Ganjis (2012) and Corner Store (2018).
Since 2017, she has served as an executive committee member of the Seoul International Women's Film Festival and was the program chairperson in 2020.

The 25th Seoul International Women's Film Festival will be held this August at Megabox Sangam World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
