Lotte Duty Free Selected as Duty-Free Operator at Jeju International Airport Departure Hall
Lotte Duty Free recently secured the business rights for Jeju Airport following Melbourne Airport in Australia.
On the 27th, Lotte Duty Free announced that it was selected as the duty-free store operator for the departure hall at Jeju International Airport. The Korea Customs Service held the 1st Bonded Store License Review Committee meeting on the same day and selected Lotte Duty Free as the duty-free store operator for Jeju Airport. In this evaluation, the Korea Customs Service combined the License Review Committee's assessment score (out of 500 points) based on bonded area management capability, operator's management ability, and corporate activities for economic and social development, with the facility management evaluation score (out of 500 points). Lotte Duty Free achieved a total score of 943.23 points.
Starting from March 1, Lotte Duty Free will operate the Jeju Airport store located on the 3rd floor of the international departure hall for up to 10 years (5+5 years). The store area totals 544.79㎡ (165 pyeong) and handles all product categories including cosmetics, perfumes, liquor, and fashion accessories. With this, Lotte Duty Free will operate departure hall duty-free stores at four major domestic international airports: Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju. Currently, Lotte Duty Free operates three airport stores in Korea: Incheon Airport (T2), Gimpo Airport, and Gimhae Airport, as well as four downtown stores including Myeongdong Main Store, World Tower Store, Busan Store, and Jeju Store, along with the in-flight duty-free service for Jeju Air.
