This Year’s First Ulsan Youth Policy to Be Addressed... 90 Billion Won Project Plan
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will hold the 1st Youth Policy Coordination Committee meeting on the 26th at 3 p.m. in the main building's 2nd-floor conference room, with Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom and about 20 committee members in attendance.
The Youth Policy Coordination Committee is responsible for reviewing the basic plan and implementation plan for youth policy, deliberating on its execution, and coordinating and cooperating on related projects for the implementation of youth policy.
At the meeting, the committee will review two agenda items: this year's Ulsan City youth policy implementation plan and the selection of youth-appointed committees, while gathering diverse opinions on youth policy.
The implementation plan is composed of five areas?jobs, housing, education, welfare & culture, and participation & rights?with 75 detailed projects under the vision of "Youth Ulsan, a city full of passion and challenge."
The total project budget amounts to 89.9 billion KRW.
By sector: ▲Jobs include 20 projects such as the Youth Intern Recruitment Project (12 billion KRW), ▲Housing includes 11 projects such as the Taehwa-dong Youth Hope Housing Construction Project (32.3 billion KRW), ▲Education includes 13 projects such as the Vocational Education Innovation District Support Project (36 billion KRW), ▲Welfare & Culture includes 18 projects such as the operation of the Ulsan Global Game Center (9 billion KRW), and ▲Participation & Rights includes 13 projects such as the operation of youth hub spaces (600 million KRW).
Additionally, the selection of youth-appointed committees applies the designation principles of the Office for Government Policy Coordination to committees that affect youth lives, selecting a total of 28 committees including the "Youth Policy Coordination Committee."
The selected 28 committees will appoint at least 10% of their appointed members as youth members when appointing new members, promoting expanded youth participation in policy.

The Youth Policy Coordination Committee consists of a total of 19 members: the Ulsan Mayor and six ex officio heads of related departments, two experts by field, and 11 youth members.
