Gwangyang Steelworks Employees Serve as Mentors for Customized Mentoring
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Heo Seonsik] POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks (Director Lee Jinsu) announced that it will recruit participants for the 4th session of the ‘Youth Business UP Employment Consulting’ from January 25 to February 13.
As a corporate citizen, POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks has been providing employment consulting to young people preparing for jobs in the region since 2021 to take the lead in solving youth employment issues.
The employment consulting is divided into ▲Job Sessions and ▲Employment Sessions so that participants can receive practical help by listening to sincere stories from mentor seniors and various know-how necessary for employment.
Gwangyang Steelworks announced that it will recruit participants for the 4th session of the 'Youth UP Employment Consulting' from January 25 to February 13.

In the Job Sessions, participants are assigned 1:1 customized mentors reflecting their schools and majors, who provide explanations about company life and job duties, necessary certifications, and related activities.
Additionally, in the Employment Sessions, practical personnel from the Gwangyang Steelworks HR department directly provide coaching on self-introduction letters along with GA (Group Interview), AP (Analytical Presentation Interview), and essay interview coaching.
In particular, this ‘Employment Consulting’ is expected to be an opportunity to enhance employment capabilities more effectively, as it includes a session explaining the 2023 recruitment trends and delivering vivid tips related to overall employment.
The application period for the Gwangyang Steelworks Employment Consulting is from January 25 to February 13, targeting job seekers under the age of 39, high school students, and university students currently enrolled, on leave, or graduates, with a total recruitment of about 50 people.
When applying, applicants must submit the application form according to the provided format along with necessary documents including a self-introduction letter for employment (recommended, free format) and other personal documents required for the consulting via the person in charge’s email.
The consulting will be held over three days from February 22 to 24 at the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center, and detailed schedules will be individually notified to the selected participants on February 15.
