On the 20th, Deputy Mayor Kim Nam-il visited Maria's House, a residential facility for people with disabilities, to deliver consolation gifts and encourage the staff.

He also encouraged additional winter vaccinations at elderly and disabled facilities vulnerable to infectious diseases and urged efforts to prevent the spread of infectious diseases by adhering to COVID-19 quarantine rules during the holiday period.
Vice Mayor Kim said, “I hope everyone has a happy holiday through the community’s interest and sharing for marginalized neighbors,” and added, “We will do our best to make Pohang a city rich in life through meticulous welfare.”
On the same day, the city’s Welfare Bureau also visited Pohang Wildflower Village, a nursing facility for the homeless, and Pohang Seonrin Childcare Center, a child-rearing facility, to check on the residents’ well-being, encourage the workers’ efforts, and deliver carefully prepared Lunar New Year consolation goods.
