Yeongyang-gun, Donations for Hometown Love Continue Ahead of Seollal Holiday

Secretary General Kim Pal-won has been leading hometown love efforts while serving as Secretary General of the Jaegu-mi Yeongyang-gun Hometown Association, and CEO Woo Guk-han, who is from Seokbo-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, has been practicing love for neighbors by joining the Honor Society, a group of donors who have donated more than 100 million won. In line with the implementation of the hometown love donation system, he donated hometown love funds to Yeongyang-gun.

County Governor Oh Do-chang said, “We appreciate the donation to Yeongyang-gun, the hometown, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, and the precious donation will be used where it is most needed for the development of Yeongyang-gun,” adding, “We ask for active participation in hometown love donations from many people who love Yeongyang-gun.”
The hometown love donation system is a system implemented since January 1, 2023, where individuals can donate to their hometown or desired local government, which uses the funds for resident welfare projects, and donors receive tax benefits (full tax credit up to 100,000 won, and 16.5% for the amount exceeding 100,000 won) and may receive thank-you gifts (local agricultural and specialty products, etc.) within 30% of the donation amount.
