Positive Rate of Entrants from China at 7.0%... Single Digit for 7 Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The positivity rate among arrivals from China who were immediately tested at the airport was found to be 7.0%.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 20th, out of 2,188 people who arrived at Incheon International Airport from China the previous day, 273 short-term foreign visitors underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing at the airport testing center, and 19 were confirmed positive. The positivity rate was 7.0%, slightly higher than the previous day's 5.8%. The airport test positivity rate has remained in the single digits for seven consecutive days.
However, looking at the positivity rates over the past three days, there has been a slight increase: 5.8% on the 17th → 4.3% on the 18th → 7.0% on the 19th. On the 16th, the rate dropped to 3.5%, the lowest since the strengthening of quarantine measures for arrivals from China.
