View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 20th at midnight that 27,408 new COVID-19 cases were added, bringing the total to 29,955,366.
The number of new cases on this day decreased by 12,318 compared to a week earlier on the 13th (39,726 cases). This is the lowest figure in 13 weeks since October 21 last year (24,730 cases) based on Friday's count.
Among the new cases, 94 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 453, down by 12 from the previous day. The number of critically ill patients has remained in the 400s for three consecutive days.
There were 30 additional COVID-19 related deaths reported. The cumulative death toll stands at 33,134, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
