He also visited the Yongin Suji 119 Safety Center to encourage firefighters responsible for the safety of the residents.
On that afternoon, Governor Kim visited Yongin Jungang Market and said, "Various escalating economic difficulties will first painfully affect small business owners and self-employed individuals. On the 16th, Gyeonggi Province held an emergency economic inspection meeting to discuss livelihood measures to support the economy of ordinary citizens and their daily lives. We will establish and implement more detailed measures than any other city, province, or central government, not only for neighborhood markets and traditional markets but also for employment issues, traffic safety, and various livelihood-related matters without any setbacks."
Governor Kim then purchased Korean traditional sweets, rice cakes, and fruits at the market to encourage 12 households affected by flood damage and 69 staff members of the Suji 119 Safety Center.
The flood victims are 12 households currently staying at the temporary residential facility in Sangsang Village, Surisan, Gunpo, among about 4,300 people who left their homes due to heavy rain in August last year. Governor Kim plans to personally meet two of these households on the 19th to deliver encouragement supplies. The province has been supporting heating supplies and daily necessities for flood victims who have not yet returned home by utilizing disaster relief funds.
Following his visit to the traditional market, Governor Kim visited the Suji 119 Safety Center to encourage the workers and deliver supplies.

At the site, Governor Kim said, "Last year, incidents threatening the lives and safety of residents, such as heavy rain, the October 29 disaster, the Suwon three mothers case, a bread factory entrapment accident, and a soundproof tunnel fire, occurred in much more diverse and unpredictable forms than before. Each time, I witnessed the on-site response of the Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters and many firefighters, and I understand how hard they work. I hope our firefighters, who risk their own lives to save the lives and safety of our citizens and residents, take pride in their work."
