Jeju Air Resumes Taipei Route... "After Over 3 Years"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 18th that it will resume flights on the Incheon-Busan~Taipei routes on a schedule of seven times a week. This comes more than three years after the suspension due to COVID-19 in February 2020.
Jeju Air's Incheon~Taipei route departs from Incheon International Airport daily at 10:40 AM (11:05 AM on Saturdays) and arrives in Taipei at 12:40 PM. From Taipei, the flight departs at 1:40 PM and arrives in Incheon at 5:00 PM.
The Busan~Taipei route departs from Gimhae International Airport at 9:40 PM and arrives in Taipei at 12:10 AM the next day. From Taipei, the flight departs at 2:40 AM and arrives at Gimhae Airport at 6:05 AM.
In 2019, before COVID-19, Jeju Air operated 732 flights on the Incheon~Taipei route, transporting approximately 127,100 passengers with a high load factor of about 92%. The Busan~Taipei route saw 826 flights with around 129,200 passengers, achieving a load factor of about 85%.

A Jeju Air official said, "Visa-free travel is possible without vaccination, quarantine, or PCR negative confirmation," adding, "We hope this resumption of flights will satisfy customers' desire to travel to Taipei."
