Sancheong-gun to Support 'Preferential Savings for Pregnant Women' Again This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will continue to implement the 'Preferential Savings Account for Pregnant Women,' jointly promoted by Gyeongnam Province and NongHyup, this year as well.
According to Sancheong-gun, the preferential savings account for pregnant women was established to overcome low birth rates and to promote a culture of consideration for pregnant women. It is available to those residing in Gyeongnam who are either pregnant or within six months postpartum.
This product offers a preferential interest rate by adding 0.75% each to the basic interest rate from Gyeongnam Province and NongHyup. For subscribers depositing more than 100,000 KRW (with a final balance of at least 1.2 million KRW), baby products worth approximately 24,000 KRW are provided upon maturity of the savings account.
The monthly deposit limit is 500,000 KRW, allowing flexible deposits over one year, with an annual subscription limit of 6 million KRW. The preferential savings account for pregnant women includes the i(deun) savings account and the Child Happiness savings account, and only one account can be opened per fetus or infant.
