[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Korea Senior Citizens Association Yeongyang County Branch visited Yeongyang County Office on the 16th to deliver a total donation of 11.7 million won, including 6.7 million won in cash and 5 million won in scholarships, to bring hope to neighbors in need and support the dreams and hopes of local students.
The donation delivered that day is especially meaningful as it was raised voluntarily by the elderly members of 178 senior centers in the area, aiming to overcome the crisis caused by COVID-19 and share warmth with marginalized neighbors.
