Hong Taeyong, Mayor of Gimhae, Begins '2023 Industrial Site Visit'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Hong Taeyong, mayor of Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, visited four outstanding companies in the area, marking the start of this year's industrial site visits.
The city announced on the 13th that Mayor Hong visited Namgyeong Techwin, Huwon EDI, I&Tech Co., and Daecheon consecutively over two days starting from the 12th.
He toured manufacturing sites and research facilities of technology companies, bio-life companies, and export companies, listened to on-site suggestions, and encouraged the workers at the sites.
He explained various corporate support projects of the city and encouraged companies to participate to receive benefits.

View original imageThe company representatives expressed their gratitude, saying, “We appreciate the various support policies for revitalizing small and medium-sized enterprises in Gimhae-si,” and suggested simplifying licensing procedures, hiring personnel, expanding financial support, and easing environmental regulations.
Starting with this visit, the city plans to strive to create a business-friendly environment and accelerate linked development with companies suited to the local characteristics.

Mayor Hong said, “Although the economic conditions are difficult, we will implement support measures that can provide practical help so that companies can overcome them well,” and added, “We will continue to frequently visit companies and communicate with industrial sites.”
