Jo Eung-cheon: "Signal from Na to 'Don't Run'... Too Much Interference in Party Affairs"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Regarding the report that the Presidential Office has no intention of accepting the resignation of former lawmaker Na Kyung-won, who stepped down from the position of Vice Chairperson of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee, Rep. Cho Eung-cheon of the Democratic Party criticized, saying, "They are interfering too deeply in party affairs."
On the 12th, Rep. Cho appeared on YTN's 'News King Park Ji-hoon' and said, "She expressed her intention to resign, but they say they cannot accept it. Honestly, it's incomprehensible."
According to media reports, the Presidential Office reportedly announced a policy of not accepting former lawmaker Na's resignation.
Rep. Cho expressed concern, saying, "If you think about it from another angle, considering next year's general election, it signals 'We cannot trust Na Kyung-won; we cannot feel secure with her. So don't run for party leader.' Although President Yoon Seok-yeol clearly stated he would not interfere in party affairs, it seems he is interfering too deeply."
