Korea Coca-Cola Appoints Jeong Gi-seong as New CEO
Korea Coca-Cola announced on the 12th that it has appointed Jeong Gi-seong, Executive Director of Finance, as the CEO in charge of overall business operations.
Since joining Coca-Cola in 2000, CEO Jeong served as the Finance Manager in the Philippines in 2004 and in Thailand from 2008 to 2009. After returning to Korea in 2010, he was responsible for financial affairs at Korea Coca-Cola. This is the second time a CEO has been appointed from internal personnel, following former CEO Choi Su-jeong. Former CEO Choi Su-jeong, who led domestic operations since September 2019, was appointed as the Head of Marketing for Korea and Japan.
While serving as Executive Director of Finance at Korea Coca-Cola, CEO Jeong led various projects based on his domestic and international experience. He is recognized as a key executive who significantly contributed to the continuous growth of the company as a comprehensive beverage company.
