Gwangju University Awards for 'Creating Metaverse Virtual Classrooms'
Four Students Including Kim Ji-yu Awarded Best for Creating ‘Metaverse Hosim Memorial Library’
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 11th that it recently held an awards ceremony for the 'Metaverse Virtual Classroom Creation Contest.'
The 'Metaverse Virtual Classroom Creation Contest,' aimed at enrolled students, is a program where participants create their own virtual classrooms related to their major fields using various metaverse platforms.
A total of 23 students participated in the contest, and Gwangju University selected outstanding works through judging.
Four students, including Kim Jiyu, a third-year student in the Department of Library and Information Science, who created the 'Metaverse Hosim Memorial Library,' received the grand prize.
Additionally, two students, including Choi Yunbeom, a third-year student in the Department of Interior Design, received the excellence award. The encouragement award was given to two students, including Choi Dasom, a third-year student in the Department of Library and Information Science.
