Produced to Improve the Perception That Cultural Heritage Is Difficult
The Cultural Heritage Administration unveiled emoticons created using a human face-shaped pottery (pierced face-patterned jar-shaped pottery) on social networking services (SNS) on the 11th. The pierced face-patterned jar-shaped pottery is a jar-type pottery excavated in 2019 in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk. It is estimated to have been made in the 6th century. Three faces with different expressions are depicted, and the two holes pierced in the center of the face have been interpreted as eyes and nostrils, attracting much attention. The Cultural Heritage Administration created the emoticons to improve the perception that cultural heritage is difficult.
