Broadcaster Hong Rok-gi's wedding company reportedly delayed payment of two years' wages to about 20 employees due to financial difficulties.
On the 10th, Hong Rok-gi's agency, Saenggak Entertainment, confirmed the reports of wage arrears by the wedding company Now Hall, operated by Hong Rok-gi, stating, "It is true." They added, "The company's situation worsened due to COVID-19. Facing financial difficulties, we applied for corporate rehabilitation procedures and received a commencement decision from the court in January last year," and further stated, "There is no additional information to provide."
According to the wedding industry and entertainment circles, two current and former employees of Now Hall reported wage arrears to the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the 8th.
A, who worked as a wedding planner at Now Hall until February last year, told a media outlet, "I worked for about a year without pay starting from March 2021," and claimed, "The unpaid wages amount to about 1.6 million KRW, and I understand that about 20 other employees each have unpaid wages ranging from 3 to 5 million KRW."

Now Hall is a company that assists engaged couples with wedding preparations such as dress rentals and makeup reservations. Hong Rok-gi established it in 2011 under the name Now Wed, and the business name was changed to Now Hall in 2020.
