[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] German authorities, who had taken a cautious stance on strengthening quarantine measures for arrivals from China, have finally decided to enhance quarantine measures for travelers from China.
On the 9th, German authorities announced through the German Embassy in China that travelers aged 12 and older arriving in Germany from China, including Macau, must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken before leaving China.
According to the embassy, PCR tests must be conducted within 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight, and antigen tests must be conducted within 48 hours before the scheduled arrival time of the flight in Germany to be valid.
