The ‘Vacant House Maintenance Project’ focuses on improving the residential environment by demolishing residential buildings that have been unoccupied for more than a year or remodeling them into community convenience facilities, transforming them into spaces that pursue public interest and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.
Until last year, the city renovated 60 vacant houses in the region and created community convenience spaces. In particular, it renovated 44 vacant houses in urban areas where securing parking was difficult, expanded shared parking lots, and remodeled vacant houses into community facilities for residents.
This year, the city plans to invest 500 million KRW to promote the Vacant House Maintenance Project. Owners who wish to renovate vacant houses can apply for the vacant house maintenance by February 3rd at the Pohang City Apartment Division.
