The focus was on exploring new business opportunities to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Chairman Koo judged that discovering new businesses was essential to successfully carry out his unique 'ambidextrous management'?operating both existing core businesses like power infrastructure and future businesses such as battery, electric vehicles, and semiconductors.
At the site, Chairman Koo said, "Seeing future advanced technologies such as autonomous driving, mobility, and net zero, which have become major technology trends at this exhibition, I was able to confirm that 'all things are becoming electrified.'" He added emphatically, "I have a strong conviction that our pledge made earlier this year to implement 'CFE (Carbon-Free Electricity)' and become a partner leading future industries is correct." Earlier, on the 2nd, Chairman Koo declared the group's 'Vision 2030' at LS Tower in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Since his days as CEO of LS Cable & System and other affiliates, he has been noted in the business community for his 'brotherly leadership,' communicating openly with even junior employees and fostering organizational unity. At the site, Chairman Koo encouraged, "I hope that the CEOs of major affiliates and LS Futurists will gain insight by encountering many world-leading technologies and help achieve the group's vision."
He has contributed to increasing LS's performance by successfully implementing ambidextrous management during his first year as chairman. According to financial information provider FnGuide, the consensus estimate for LS Corp.'s sales last year was 18.0529 trillion KRW, and operating profit was 722.7 billion KRW. If realized, these would be record highs. Compared to 2021 sales of 13.0891 trillion KRW and operating profit of 583.7 billion KRW, these figures represent increases of 37.9% and 23.8%, respectively.
